Lapis Lazuli is a popular deep blue gemstone which has been utilized in jewelry for thousands of years. Yet, unlike almost every other gemstone such as diamond or aquamarine, lapis lazuli is not a single mineral. Rather, it is a combination of several minerals, therefor making it a rock type, just like how granite is a rock type. #short #shorts #lapislazuli
