Fire Evacuation Level 2 "Get Set" Cutting Fire Breaks

Depending on where you live, you may or may not have heard about the horrible wildfires that they are battling in Oregon right now. Milliron Family Farm is just on the edge of the current Level 2 evacuation area for the Durkee Fire which means "get set" or start making a plan to evacuate if needed. The majority of land around our house is irrigated and should be safe but the back portion of our farm is "rangeland" so we took the big blue tractor and disced a fire break while our neighbor graciously helped with his tractor and a blade. We fully understand fire is unpredictable and will continue to do things around the house to get ready just in case but this will help with the back portion of the property which helps ease our minds. We pray for the safety of all the people working to stop these fires and our thoughts and prayers go out to all the people who have been affected so far!
