[WORLD RECORD!] Pokemon FireRed Elite 4 Round 2 SPEEDRUN in 3:27:38! MY BEST SPEEDRUN EVER?!

We finally did it! After
We finally did it! After 1163 days, more than 3 years, of not having any World Record in Pokemon Speedrunning, I finally have a SPEEDRUNNING WORLD RECORD again! This is the current World Record for Pokemon FireRed in a category called "Elite 4 Round 2", which means that the speedrun ends after beating the 2nd round of the Elite 4. This mean playing the original postgame content that Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen added in comparison to Pokemon Red and Blue! This category is really fun because you have to catch 60 Pokemon in order to beat it, which adds a whole new level of strategy to the speedrun. This run absolutely crazy run and probably one of the best speedruns I've ever done and it got World Record. The overall RNG was pretty good, Safari Zone was quite good, Mansion and Islands were OK. Power Plant however was AWFUL. But an amazing early game allowed us to continue. Victory Road went incredibly well and so did the first round of the Elite Four. During the postgame things got REALLY tricky but we managed to get good RNG and we played really well and safe which ultimately secured us the World Record!

Pokemon Fire Red Elite 4 Round 2 means the run ends after beating Elite 4 for the second time! The Elite 4 have better and higher levelled Pokemon this time around. In order to unlock the second round, you have to first unlock the National Dex, which requires you to capture 60 unique Pokemon. During a normal Pokemon Speedrun the catching of Pokemon is limited to Pokemon that will be used for HM's like Fly and Surf. In Pokemon FireRed E4R2 the catching of 60 unique Pokemon adds a whole new element to the run and requires on the fly adaptation and a lot of game knowledge.
