Another new open from ABC
Another new open from ABC 7 Chicago, using the main newscast template, based on the graphics that debuted in June 2023. At this point, the ABC-owned package has rolled out on 7 of 8 stations, with KABC the lone holdout. Also new for 2024 is a rebrand of Eyewitness News' election coverage, adopting the network's 'Your Voice Your Vote' moniker, after 3 decades of "Vote [Year]." Unlike the branding, though, the legendary election theme music remains. From the original cuts of News Series 2000 Plus (Stimulus), this piece goes back as far as 32 years.
Main anchors Rob Elgas & Cheryl Burton anchored live coverage on the station's streaming channels from 6:30 til nearly 11pm. All content is the property of WLS Television, Incorporated. Message for removal.
