If you are in Abu Dhabi then it is also a good idea to go to Dubai. Because this is the most famous emirate in the United Arab Emirates with the most spectacular attractions such as the 828 meter high Burj Khalifa! There you should definitely visit the observation deck with a spectacular view over the city. Other highlights include the seven-star Hotel Burj al Arab. or the artificially created palm islands.
The distance from Abu Dhabi to Dubai is 140 kilometers and by rental car it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. So here is a day trip to the glittering metropolis and many excursions are offered for the tourists that can be made in one day. Often, however, these are not very cheap and as an alternative it is a good idea to do this on your own.
This is recommended for visitors who have often spent their holidays in this region. If you have never been there before, you should rather book a guided excursion where you don't have to worry about anything. Because the volume of traffic in Dubai is significantly higher than in Abu Dhabi and often most tourists are overwhelmed and you don't see anything of the city. It is better if you are shown the sights by an experienced tour guide.
