+++ The WDR BIG BAND album "Steve Gadd, Eddie Gomez, Ronnie Cuber - Centerstage" is nominated for the Grammy 2023 in the category "Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album".+++
Together with Steve Gadd (drums), Eddie Gomez (bass) and Ronnie Cuber (baritone saxophone), the WDR BIG BAND plays the track "Watching The River Flow" by Bob Dylan in an arrangement by Michael Abene. Other solos are played by Karolina Strassmayer on alto saxophone and Bruno Müller on guitar. Bobby Sparks will play the keyboard. The WDR BIG BAND is conducted by Michael Abene, who was the band's principal conductor for over 10 years. Produced as part of the CD production "Centerstage" at WDR Studio 4 (January 2022).

"Watching The River Flow" is the first video for the upcoming album by exceptional drummer and Grammy Award winner STEVE GADD (a. o. ERIC CLAPTON, PETER GABRIEL, PAUL MCCARTNEY, CHICK COREA), multi-award-winning jazz bassist EDDIE GOMEZ (HERBIE HANCOCK, CHICK COREA, STEPS AHEAD, BILL EVANS) and Grammy-winning saxophonist RONNIE CUBER in collaboration with the WDR BIG BAND led by MICHAEL ABENE. The result is a perfect mixture of grooving songs and an excellent ensemble around mastermind STEVE GADD with top-class guest musicians like SIMON OSLENDER or BOBBY SPARKS II, which transfers the magic of the 80s successfully into today's time, oriented on the classics from the repertoire of THE GADD GANG.
