Herbal hair oil 2 : Herbal Hair Oil - II Method

This is a recipe for homemade bath powder. It is made using herbs, lentils or dals, nuts and dried flowers. Together they help to get rid of dirt, germs and maintain skin health. Regular use of this bath powder results in youthful, wrinkle free, blemish free, smooth, soft, pink, healthy skin. These herbs help in anti ageing too. The anti wrinkle properties of some herbs like kadukkai or Myrobalan,  amla or gooseberry, multani mitti or fullers earth is well documented.
The ingredients are locally available in the country drug stores, department stores & in the back yard. The process involves buying, cleaning, drying in sunlight, grinding and storing. This powder is much better than commercially available soaps. It doesn't dry skin like the normal soaps. it helps to maintain the oil balance of the skin and useful bacteria on the skin. These herbs acts as an effective moisturiser helping to achieve a supple soft skin even during peak winter and monsoon. Ingredients like rose helps to get baby soft skin. Your skin will glow with a pink shade when you use this powder regularly. This helps as an effective anti tanning agent preventing sun tan. The astringent, antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic properties of the herbs help to effectively ward off pimples, acne, heat boils, skin eruptions, infections, inflammation.  This powder helps to lighten skin, erase pimple scars& smoothen the skin as well. This is also called as nalungu maavu because it is used during nalungu a function before marriage where the bride is given beauty treatments using herbs for the upcoming marriage. It is also called as ubtan. This can be used above 5yrs age.
