I was 9, wrote my first rhyme, took a shine to her,
I was young parents didnt mind me spending time with her,
I met her at this party am I lying yea Im lying,
What Im tryna say is that I met her round mine,
There was curry in the air I can smell the masala,
Around the time Gurdas Maan came out with Challa,
Im takin you way back when the rain was purple,
Before Michael Jackson became controversial,
She would dance with me tell me bout the places that she been,
People that shed loved and everything in between,
And I would listen to her, so would everybody else,
Sometimes I wish that I could keep her to myself,
So I spent time with her, just me and her alone,
Had to keep the noise down when my parents came home,
It was nothing nasty, I only loved her like a brother,
But still I had to keep it undercover

In my teens I was checking her a little less discreetly,

But not completely I love the way she spoke,

She respects our culture and other cultures too,
