My old and NEW WHEELCHAIR! | Comparing Meyra and Panthera

Meyra was my first ever chair, that I was given by the government, it’s a base model and though it is technically an “active” chair, meaning it is meant for people who can get around well, it is still quite heavy and bulky. I wish I was provided with more information when I was getting the first chair, as, not knowing what I’m getting into, I assumed that all chairs are the same. Of course, this is also an older model and Meyra definitely has grown and expanded their selection since then.

A couple years later - now, I’ve learned a lot about different wheelchairs and technologies that can come with them. I found out that I can get an almost funded wheelchair and only have to add the difference. We all know that wheelchairs cost thousands and this one was no exception. I’m sure that the video depicts the intricacy of the design details that go into producing a chair and making it work fluidly, making everyone’s lives easier.

This is a very general video comparing the base types of what these wheelchairs are. The lightweight Panthera wheelchair has definitely made my and everyone around me lives easier.
