The investigation of UA:PBC "Notes
The investigation of UA:PBC "Notes Under the Cherry Tree" is a documentary film about the search for the kidnapped children's writer Volodymyr Vakulenko.
Volodymyr Vakulenko was an author, patriot, participant of the Revolution of Dignity. The film tells about his diary of the occupation of Izyum, a town in Kharkiv region of Ukraine. Volodymyr managed to hide it before the abduction in the ground under a cherry tree. He asked the parents to give the diary to "our people, when they come."
On March 24, armed men took Volodymyr Vakulenko from his home. For more than half a year, his relatives have not known anything about his fate. Their search is in vain. Meanwhile, the Defense Forces of Ukraine liberate Izyum and nearby villages, and journalists begin their investigation — they go in search of Volodymyr Vakulenko.
They manage to find witnesses and establish eerie details about the writer's disappearance, as well as tell about the background to his abduction through the entries in his diary.
