The Nightgown I used:

Lace Haul I bought:

Victorian or Edwardian combinations were a "combination" (go figure) of a chemise and bloomers. Which is a nice way to eliminate some extra layers in the summer heat. They were worn under the corset, and often trimmed with beautiful lace and ribbons. Definitely a staple of Edwardian underwear.

For my project, I used a Victorian nightgown and easily converted it. This is a great costume hack if you are burnt out, or starting historical costuming as a beginner. Or you are just intimidated by all that insertion. I am!

These nightgowns have been popular for a long time, since the Victorian era, and I remember my mom and I wearing them when I was a child. You can easily find these at thrift stores if you don't want to do what I did and shop on Amazon.

This project was especially good for my ADHD brain, which really wanted some dopamine quick. I am a Neurodivergent costumer, and sometimes we just need to see a result happen fast.
