After arriving from Melbourne earlier in the day, I had a few hours to explore Nadi and then head back to the airport to catch my onwards flight. The A330-200 (DQ-FJP) was recently acquired by Fiji Airways in mid-2018 in order to expand its network. Unfortunately this aircraft still holds the interiors of its previous owner (Air Seychelles) which meant that everything about the cabin was rather outdated. The seats were overall comfortable, but with a broken ife system at my seat, there was nothing else to do but watch the view out of the window. The flight was almost 11 hour long, and without having a tv to watch the moving map, it felt like it went for a lot longer. There were two meal services on this flight, both were on the small side, which left me feeling a but hungry during the flight. The crew were also friendly but were distant and didn’t really make an effort to check the cabin throughout the flight. The flight path took us over Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia before descending into Singapore. Some of the views of the small atolls and islands along the way really made this flight. Flight: DQ361 Airline: Fiji Airways Aircraft: A330-243 Registration: DQ-FJP Origin: Nadi Destination: Singapore Changi
