Visiting scholar from Turkey talks about his experience attending Cal State Fullerton

Muhittin Ceken is an assistant professor in the Department of History at Aydın Adnan Menderes University in Turkey. He has been attending Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) as a Visiting Scholar for about one year, and he will return to his home country on October 26th, 2023.

Muhittin was greatly influenced by the studies of CSUF Professor of History Jochen Burgtorf. After reaching out, he was invited to visit CSUF to study and work with Professor Burgtorf. He enjoyed attending Burgtorf's history classes, utilizing the Pollak Library for research, and taking part in fun campus events.

Once he returns to Turkey, Muhittin will continue teaching at Aydın Adnan Menderes University. He plans to encourage his students to study abroad, especially in America.
