My First RARE Backyard Bird!!

A few days ago, I was visited by my first ever "rare" backyard bird. For the time and location, eBird reports this species as rare. The Field Sparrow is commonly found in old-fields, tall grasses, and thorny shrubs. Uncommonly, they are seen at feeders, such as this individual. I'm very happy to be able to have a species like that visit my yard, especially since a few years ago I would only get a handful of a bird species a year. Hope you enjoyed and happy birding!
