A song about the Ottoman-Serbian Battle of Kosovo (1389) in which the army of Sultan Murad I has defeated the army of Prince Lazar and his allies. Both leaders died in the battle, and Lazar was proclaimed a holy martyr soon after. It was a significant event in Serbian history.
