This episode of School Bus Talk is a driver's reaction to seat belts on school buses.  Seat belts on school buses is a hot topic that generates much comment on social media.  There has also been a lot of discussion of seat belts on school buses especially after a special commission in Ohio after a terrible bus crash in 2023.  According to news reports, there was survey information presented at the Ohio commission that 81% of school bus drivers opposed seat belts.  The purpose of this video is not argue about seat belts on school buses, but is to present my personal experience as a school bus driver regarding buses equipped with and without seat belts.  I will take the viewer on an older school bus that does not have seat belts, and share my experience driving that bus.  I will then look at a newer school bus equipped with seat belts and talk about what it is like to drive it.  At the end of the video, I will say what I prefer and why.
