This is a heartbreaking video of one of Dash’s asthma attacks….He was 10 months old here, and the next morning we went to the vet and he was officially diagnosed.
The only reason I post these is to help others who may also be mistaking this symptom for a hairball. He started doing this at 8 months old but never for more than a few seconds at a time, until one day it was constant. I should have gone to Animal Emergency but I didn’t know better back then. If your cat is doing this, PLEASE talk to your vet. Get videos if you can and request an X-Ray!
