🔍 Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) Review: FormX.ai 🔎
A quick review of the FormX.ai IDP platform, an hashtag#API first platform focused on document extraction and some document detection with prebuilt models from Microsoft Azure, and Google. Some cool concepts like instant models which function very similarly to Amazon Web Services (AWS) custom queries, where there are clear key value pairs and naming the field as the key automatically extracts.
This platform is very simple to use and setup. There are limited inputs and outputs with integrations coming soon with connectors to hashtag#SharePoint, Google hashtag#Gmail, Drive, Zapier, Dropbox and some webhook exports.
Using bounding box OCR, custom extraction models can be built on the fly with minimal setup. Instant models seem to perform very well when searching for key-value pair labels, for instance if the field name to be extracted is Account # and the iOCR finds a key label with the word Account Number, the Formx solution automatically extracts.
When I say $299/month is a very inexpensive commercial for 1,000 pages per month, I mean there is no SaaS solution where a commercial account can get into a solution for under $300/month.
