If it looks like a lady bug… but it’s on your curcubits (squash, cucumbers, pumpkins, etc) it’s a squash beetle (Epilachna borealis).

These imposters are more abundant on the east coast, and you probably have them if you see lacey holes in your curcubits. The crazy thing is that even it’s egg and larva look VERY similar to lady bugs — but they aren’t…. Happy smooshing 🤏
