What is the best sales tool for SMBs? How to track the client journey? How to gain a single view of the client?

This is a step-by-step walk-through to help you best utilise the Sales functionality on Dynamics 365.
Dynamics is Microsoft’s CRM Solution which sits natively within your Office365 Portal.
Cloud9 Insight’s Sales Director, Curt Bean, gives a tutorial on all of Microsoft Dynamics’ main capabilities for the Sales function as it progresses through the sales cycle :


STEP 1: SET UP  
Dashboards with customisable, real-time analytics
Opportunity analysis with the ability to see status and pipeline and where they sit in the sales funnel
Can input KPIs and goals, for individuals, teams or company-wide to see progress


STEP 2: PROSPECTS/LEADS
Prospects can be stored as potential clients in a list view
Lead records are created using a data model which is customisable so you can capture the data in the fields that your processes require
Access to company data, connections, audit trail of communications in a timeline and competitor analysis all in the same place
Ability to qualify leads to move them into the next stage of the sales cycle as an opportunity


STEP 3: OPPORTUNITY
Opportunity stage with quick in-line editing
Pop-out charts with all list-views for different visuals with drill-down functionality
Can import and export from Excel
Customisable process bar shows flexibility of Dynamics, building in uniform processes that will be followed as a client moves through the sales pipeline
Ownership field gives visibility of employees
Linkedin Sales Navigator integration
Relationship Assistant as new form of AI gives suggestions as to next steps with a client, which are customisable
Product management and product line items can be pulled in, with discounts and quantities, gives visibility of well-performing products and can manage stock and inventory,
Quote records can be developed and templates can be saved, using merge field technology
Close as won/lost to end opportunity or move onto client status

STEP 4: CLIENT
Full account record which keeps all historic communications which gives a single view of the client
Primary, secondary contacts
Opportunities and orders all in one place
Contact preferences which helps with GDPR compliance
Organisation chart can plot employees working for the organisation
Ability to have parent and child accounts to have different tiers to see make-up of the organisation
