⛱️Summer is flying by and college move in days are going to be here before you know it! 📆 If this is your first time to move one of your kids into college, we get it, you’re probably feeling alllll the things: excited, nervous, overwhelmed, with a little sad mixed in. 😭 It’s a bittersweet time!

🚚 After surviving more than 15 move-ins with our 6 kids, we’ve learned a lot to help you prepare and to make the big day go smoothly. Even some ways to make it through that goodbye once you’ve gotten them settled in. ♥️

Some of our favorites:
1. Ditch the packaging
2. Wash the linens
3. Group like things together
4. Protect your palettes with an insert
5. Wrap necklaces with cling wrap to prevent tangling
6. Don’t take hanging clothes off the hangers
7. Pack cleaning products separately
8. Tape lids and drawers closed
9. Label all your tubs
10. Bring a small tool kit
11. Don’t forget a fan
12. Dollys or a cart help a lot!
13. Have a plan for how to hang things
14. Door stops are useful
15. Bring some snacks and waters
16. Load up in reverse
17. Bring a roll of TP
18. Dress for sweating and getting dirty
19. Bring a change of clothes
20. Set up the bed first
21. Decorate last
22. Coordinate movein times with roommates
23. Leave time for shopping
24. Quick goodbyes are best but leave a note for them to find later
