#52 Programming ATTiny Microcontrollers using Arduino IDE | ATTiny13 ATTiny25 ATTiny45 ATTiny85

*** Remember to select Programmer: Arduino as ISP at the tools menu bottom, and then burn bootloader first, before uploading your main sketch to ATTINY.

In this video, we will learn about how to program an ATTiny microcontroller using Arduino as ISP. ATTiny microcontrollers can shrink your Arduino projects and make them battery friendly. You can program all 8 Pin ATTiny microcontrollers the same way. You can even program the bigger versions of ATTiny microcontrollers like ATTiny 44, 84 or ATTiny 2313 etc., using same method. Only PIN numbers will be different for them. Please check the pinouts before programming any.

To download most ATTiny Cores, paste the following link in preferences menu & install ATTiny Core in the boards manager:

For ATTiny13 Core, use following link and install DIY ATTiny in the boards manager: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sle...

Pin to Pin Connections:

Arduino - ATTINY13/25/45/85
05V - Physical PIN 8 (VCC)
GND - Physical PIN 4 (GROUND)
D10 - Physical PIN 1 (RESET)
D11 - Physical PIN 5 (MOSI)
D12 - Physical PIN 6 (MISO)
D13 - Physical PIN 7 (SCK)

Also add a 10uF capacitor between GND and RESET pins of the ARDUINO board.
Arduino Uno can also be used instead of Nano.
