The Orchard Road Christmas Light-Up 2023 is a carnival-themed event that will take place from November 16, 2023, to January 1, 2024. The light-up will stretch 3.1 kilometers from Tanglin Mall to Plaza Singapura 2. This year’s light-up will feature 3 Christmas Villages, a Street Party, and Cotton Candy Cloud Dreamscape Lights . The three Christmas Villages will be located outside Shaw House, Plaza Singapura, and Ngee Ann City. The villages will have exciting rides, beautiful light displays, local pop-up stores, live shows, and tasty treats. The light-up will also have a street party on Christmas Eve, which will take place from 6 pm to 12:30 am. The party will be held at the Paterson and Bideford junctions and will feature F&B vendors, pop-up stores, Christmas carols, and a Christmas countdown. The light-up will have a Cotton Candy Cloud Dreamscape Lights display, which will feature lit-up reindeer figurines, candy canes, and illuminated teddy bear props. The decorations will also include Christmas trees, bells, teddy bears, reindeer, and candy canes alongside yellow, pink, and turquoise clouds. Music in the Air, played synchronously from speakers perched on 44 lamp posts on both sides of Orchard Road, will further enhance the festive atmosphere.
If you’re planning to visit the light-up, don’t forget to bring your camera to take Instagrammable shots with the decorations. You can also enjoy rides on the double-decker carousel and the Ferris wheel at Shaw House . The area outside Ngee Ann City has holiday-themed attractions like the Euro Swing that are kid-friendly.
