Malabar Literature Festival is a cultural get-together and celebration of multiple histories, legacies, journeys, languages, literature, and arts of the individuals and communities in Malabar. The distant lands and littorals like Kayalpattinam, Gujarat, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar, Hadhramaut, Malaysia, and Africa, which have been historically associated with Malabar from time immemorial, will also find a place in our discussions. The festival expects a footfall of literary and cultural enthusiasts, with talks, debates and open forums that explore literature through the vantage of Malabar. The multifarious lifeworld of Mappila and Dalit subalterns will also be explored in detail. The first edition of the Malabar Literature Festival will soon secure a distinct place for Book Plus in the hearts of Malayalam readers.
