Using four peeled and coarsely, diced potatoes, I par boil them for about 12 minutes. While that was happening, I made a béchamel sauce and shredded one cup of cheddar cheese, 2 cups of Havarti, and one and a half cups of Parmesan. You can use, smoked Gouda in the place of Havarti. After making the Bessho sauce, I incorporated the cheese with the exception of half of the Parmesan, which I put to the side, – Cayenne pepper, a dash of nutmeg, and white pepper and salt mix these in to your potatoes. Bake for 35 minutes at 350. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining Parmesan and bake another 10 minutes. Serve bubbling hot. #cookingwithfriends  #steakhouse  #potatoes
