Big Baldy sits as a
Big Baldy sits as a fairly prominent peak on the west side of Mount Timpanogos. With a summit of 8749' there are a few access trails to the summit. This day we hiked from the Dry Canyon Trailhead in Orem, Utah and made the accent. Using Motion X GPS, we gained 3,865 feet in 3.5 miles. Needless to say this trail is steep, with a max positive gradient of 33 percent.
Katie and I had a great time doing this peak, but it was also one of the more difficult peaks we've done. A little more planning, food and water could have gone a long way. Marlin however was a total champ and was so good during the hike.
