LOCAL FILIPINO COCONUT SLEDDING? Trekking A Friend's Mountain Land (Davao, Philippines)

HAVE YOU TRIED LOCAL STYLE FILIPINO MOUNTAIN SLEDDING ON COCONUT STEM? We climbed a little mountain on our friend's land here in Cateel, Davao Oriental. It was a beautiful short trek that gave us a view of the coast, river system, and rice fields along the highway. On our way down, Kumar grabbed some "palwa" or coconut stems, and we tried our best sledding down the mountain side on them... Did it work?
