First Word Records is very pleased to welcome back Werkha!
Following on from his EP 'The Rigour' from early 2020, the Mancunian musician returns with the first taste of his new material, and what a taste it is!
'Battered Mars Bar' is some shuffling chippy-inspired uptempo breaks, accompanied with squelching synths and a seriously funked-up bassline courtesy of Tom Driessler, who's worked with the likes of Adele, Yussef Kamaal, Rosie Lowe, Tom Misch & Jordan Rakei. Short and very sweet, and containing more fat than is probably deemed healthy, this one is just a vibe.
