What is Vaginismus?
This is a condition where an involuntary reflex contraction of the vaginal
muscles makes it extremely difficult for a woman to allow vaginal penetration, whether by a finger (during gynecological exam/cup or tampon insertion), or penis during sexual intercourse, despite the fact that the woman really wants to do it.
What is the impact of Vaginismus?
Vaginismus can really make the woman and her partner feel helpless and disappointed. The woman starts to lose confidence in herself, starts feeling ‘broken’ & ‘inadequate’, and often lives enveloped in shame & silence. Her libido starts to fall due to repeated failed attempts at penetration.
Why, How & When did Proactive For Her start the Vaginismus Healing
Program?
In spite of being such a painful & distressing issue, vaginismus has not received much attention from healthcare professionals and even social media in India. We thought it was time to bring women’s sexual pain out of the closet. PFH’s Vaginismus Healing program is the first of its kind in India which helps women heal vaginismus through a wholesome 8-week online program. We have now worked with more than 200 Indian women from across the globe.
The idea to start this came in August 2020 from Dr. Taru Jindal and Dr. Dharav Shah, a doctor couple from Mumbai.

The good news is that Vaginismus is a highly treatable condition with very high success rates! Using the 4 step healing process, our expert team helps heal and modify the beliefs recorded in the subconscious and converts them into confident, happy music!
