Finland is known as "the
Finland is known as "the country of a thousand lakes". No less than 180 000 lakes occupy 10% of the territory. The rest of the country is covered in forest. It's not surprising then that the Finnish way of life is based on harmony with nature.
Here, you can either travel over 350 kilometers in a canoë without ever leaving the boat, brave snowstorms on the back of Icelandic horses accustomed to even the lowest temperatures, or simply just look out of the window in the comfort of an old country house.
But the most unmissable activity remains meeting with the Sami and their reindeer... unless it's going up to Santa's village!
