NOTE FROM TED: We've flagged this talk, which was filmed at a TEDx event, because it appears to fall outside TEDx's curatorial guidelines for its assertions about paranormal activity. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelin… Bloom will share about the wisdom and personal gifts that can be found in experiences we might consider "crazy", talk about why we don’t explore these intuitive places, and offer up ideas on how we can. She will discuss mental illness from the shamanic viewpoint and tell personal stories from her life, and the lives of her clients, regarding how they worked with experiences that felt crazy in order to find guidance, healing and growth. Bloom Post is a shamanic healer, ceremonialist, teacher and author who walks between worlds to receive insights and guidance in order to empower healing and transformation. Bloom is author of the book Shaman’s Toolbox: Practical Tools for Powerful Transformation. She has studied across the U.S. and India, and some of her teachers have included an Appalachian seer, Native American elders, Peruvian Paqos, Ayahuasceros, Buddhist monks and nuns, as well as Hindu Swamis and Yogis. Bloom, of Black Mountain, NC, regularly shares sacred ceremonies and other offerings, and her latest book, Plant Spirit Totems, will be published in 2017. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx
