Kentucky Derby Pie-A tradition in the Bluegrass State for the Derby - It’s easy and great all year!

Kentucky Derby Pie

1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup chocolate chips
9 inch pie crust

Preheat the oven to 350°. Lightly spray a 9-inch pie plate with nonstick spray. Roll out your pie crust just to the size that fits in the pie plate. Fit crust into pie plate and set aside.

Mix the butter, sugar, all-purpose flour, eggs, and vanilla. Fold in the nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into an unbaked 9 inch pie crust. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until brown. Do NOT over bake.
