We’re back with another interesting Network Cabling video! We’ve always wanted to show you behind-the-scene clips of our Network Cabling jobs and today’s video features Fiber Lines Installation!!!
For people not yet in the industry, I am pretty sure you’ve heard about Fiber Lines or Fiber Optic Cables.

A Fiber optic network cables are cables made of drawing glass that is a little bit thicker than a human hair. As an alternative to cables with metal insulation in electrical signal transmission, these cables uses these strands of glass and surge of light to transmit. In spite of being made of glass, these cables are bendable. Fiber optic network cables are very useful in wide area network installations as it necessarily requires long distance underground and outdoor cable runs and since these cables are flexible. They are also used in office buildings where a large volume of communication traffic is expected. Basically, Fiber Optic Network Cable is one of the best choices for an establishments that needs faster and heavy duty internet connection.
So basically, if you want a really good connection… get a Fiber line and call us for installation!!!
Going back to the video, we are replacing a couple of fiber lines with riser closets filled with putty for fire. Somebody has not filled one and we have to follow code so we are going to fill the other one up. We’ve ran the wires from different floors and fight our way through the cable tray because it’s a little bit jam-packed as you can see and run it to the cabinet, repaired and neatly patched it up.
Now here’s an advice for companies going on a new construction and building up a good network cabling system, we encourage you to invest in ladder trays. Ladder trays hold up thick, heavy, and multiple cables very nicely and effectively. It keeps your cabling in place.
Ladder Trays gives you continuous support for your cables along their entire lengths. They are precisely formed and engineered to maximize the strength capabilities of their steel. Cable tray is also popular as an option for forward project planning: It is much easier to lay new cables onto a tray system as the needs of a project changes over time, rather than have to pull them through a prior installed length of conduit pipe.
