In this clip, Aries Spears recounted being humbled by Eddie Murphy the first time they met. Aries said he was attempting to crack a series of jokes but they all seemed to fall flat until Eddie politely yet sternly suggested that he stop trying to be funny and act natural. He also recalled a similar encounter he had with the incomparable Denzel Washington who simply told him to "quit while you're behind" with the unamusing behavior.
