This video will show you an easy DIY security camera installation at home, specifically how to install a camera on vinyl siding. If you've ever tried to hang a camera or anything from a vinyl soffit, you know it can be a challenge. However, this quick tip is so effective that I'll be using it for every camera I install from now on. It's rock solid, and the camera isn't going anywhere.

Initially, I installed mine by cutting a hole and using a cut-in drywall ring, then mounting the bracket to a wall plate and screwing it to the drywall ring. While that method worked and I never had a camera fall, it wasn’t as sturdy as this one. This new method is less intrusive, requiring only a small hole for the wire to pass through, and it's incredibly sturdy.
