Finally it's time to plant
Finally it's time to plant this garden designed in conjunction with Roy Diblik. We started this process late last year and it has all led to this.

I'm making a new garden and designer and plantsman Roy Diblik is helping out. We're working together on this because while you might know Roy's work from the Lurie Garden and the Art Institute of Chicago among many other beautiful gardens, this is a very typical size garden that you might create in your own yard and we want to share how the same principles that Roy uses on expansive projects can be applied to a typical garden.
It's about 30 feet by 15 feet, never been planted, mostly sun fading to shade on the west side, with deer pressure, a slope and even a mini "creek." In other words, it's probably a lot like what you might be facing.
My name is Erin and I love sharing inspiration and information with real-life gardeners. I live and garden in southeastern Wisconsin, zone 5b.
