Chevy Equinox Transmission fluid check and fill procedure

So in this video I’m going to try to show you quickly how to fill and check the level on your Chevy equinox or your GMC terrain 2.4 Four-cylinder automatic. I should’ve pointed out below the plug that I removed is the drain plug it’s on the bottom of the transmission this plug is removed that I removed in the video so you’re able to check the transmission fluid level you check this level while the vehicle is up to operating temperature and running I will make a future video the next time I have one in the shop and be more definitive in my description but hopefully you read the description down below and that helps you a little bit. Because some people can’t seem to understand these transmissions DO NOT DO NOT have a dipstick . I try not to repeat myself in the videos but apparently people don’t pay attention. You check the level by filling the fluid!!

In this video I’m checking the level of my transmission fluid in my Chevy equinox but this information is the same for the GMC terrain with the 2.4 automatic transmission. If you read down at the bottom I put in that it uses 4.2 quarts to 6.3 quarts total capacity.
