Osprey can nest on telecommunications towers. We often get called to
inspect the nesting area and offer protection services for tower
maintenance crews. The point is to keep the birds away while the crews
make the necessary repairs to bring the towers back online. You can see
the very large birds approaching the peak of the 250 foot tower while
work is taking place. While there are no osprey eggs on the tower on
this winter day, the large osprey were still protective of their nest
