I highly recommend this skimmer
I highly recommend this skimmer and during the video I hope you see why.
Tip: You must saw off the inlet pipe prior to installation because the guard will sit too low and small fish will be lost in the pump.
Someone sent me a email regarding micro bubbles getting into the tank figured I'd share my response here:
You will have to wait it out. Once the skimmer breaks in for a while you wont have that problem unless you completely clean it and start over. Make sure the return pipe is facing the glass so the microbubbles have a chance to hit the glass and float to the surface before entering the water column. Also don't point power heads towards it or that may cause extra bubbles in the water column.
Also if you are using tap water and dechlorinator be sure to turn off the skimmer for at least 24 hrs maybe 48 before turning it back on after a water change and sometimes after adding fresh tap water. Or it will create a overflow in the skimmer cup.
