Three-time major champion Ash Barty blazed her own trail in her tennis career. A two-year hiatus from the sport at age 18 preceded an almighty comeback in 2016, which led to her maiden Grand Slam at Roland Garros and her childhood dream Wimbledon title in 2021.
The World No.1 announced her sudden retirement in March 2022, just two months after winning her home slam, ending Australia's 44-year drought of champions.
