Uric acid is a normal waste product of the body. It is formed when a chemical called purine is broken down. #Purine is a natural substance found in the body. They are also found in many foods, such as liver, shellfish, and wine. These can also be formed in the body when DNA breaks.
What are the #symptoms_of_High_uric_acid?
#Gout:
Gout, sometimes called gouty arthritis, occurs in about 20 percent of people with hyperuricemia. A rapid drop in uric acid levels can also trigger gout. Gout can appear as isolated attacks or flare-ups.
#Symptoms_of_gout may include:
❖Severe pain in your joints
❖Stiffness of joints
❖Difficulty moving affected joints
❖Redness and swelling
❖Deformed joints
What is the treatment of #uric_acid (gout)?
If you experience several gout attacks, or if your gout attacks are less frequent but particularly painful, your doctor may recommend medication to reduce your risk of gout-related complications. If you already have evidence of damage from gout on joint X-rays, or you have tophi, chronic kidney disease, or kidney stones, medications to lower your body's level of uric acid may be recommended.
❖Medications that block uric acid production: Drugs help limit the amount of uric acid your body makes.
❖Medications that improve uric acid removal: Drugs prescribed by your doctor can help improve your kidneys' ability to remove uric acid from your body.
