Hey everyone, in this video I’ll be covering what Gibbs free energy is, how it’s calculated and where it fits in on an energy diagram. I’ll also be discussing what circumstances must occur for a negative Gibbs free energy and thus a spontaneous reaction. Enjoy! :)

My name is Kieran, I'm an Exercise Science (Honours) graduate who, recently withdrew from a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology to start a medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2021.
I've sat the GAMSAT three times now, starting below average scoring a 53 (51/58/52), though I was able to increase my score to 72 (63/65/81). I make YouTube videos with the aim of helping GAMSAT applicants improve their Science Section (S3) to be able to get into Medicine, though many of these videos will also be useful for High School and University Students.
