Maybe you saw them on
Maybe you saw them on Fox. Maybe you saw them on Kids' WB. Maybe you saw them on ABC, NBC, or CBS. They were the syndicated cartoons of the 1990's, and they're on this weekday morning.
This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from syndicated kids' shows that played in the 1990's. This isn't based on any particular year (in fact, the shows and commercials are from throughout the 90's) but rather based on what played in the mornings (as well as in the afternoons) on channels like Fox. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg Saturday morning broadcast.
This is the sixth bonus video I made to commemorate the upcoming finale to the Saturday morning cartoon videos, which will be up tomorrow. If you're not sure what syndication means, essentially each local network were left to choose what shows they wanted to broadcast during a large part of the day, and would pick and choose to buy the rights to air these syndicated shows. This meant, in one city, you might see Biker Mice on Mars on your local Fox, and in another city, it might play on their local NBC. That's the basic explanation anyway. This video is full of shows that I wanted to use while making these Saturday morning cartoon videos, but could never quite use because they were never a part of any official nation-wide schedules (or even played on Saturdays for that matter). Some are legitimately good, while others are so bad they're good. And since this isn't dedicated to a single year but rather a whole decade, the commercials will be all over the place in terms of years. As always, I hope you have as great a time watching this video as I did putting it together, and I'll see you tomorrow for my last regularly scheduled Saturday cartoon compilation.
