Hi everybody! I decided to start my Day 2 of @Microsoft Build 2024 event with a 4AM walk. There are so many 'zombies' in the Downtown of Seattle. It is really depressing, but it also is pretty nice at night, with rain and no people.
Today there was a lot about Azure, Data lakes and other mysterious things. The thing I liked is GitHub Workspaces Copilot. Looks magical. I signed up for the waiting list.
Another interesting demo - a copilot for Visual Code and Azure. Pulls and acts on your behalf. I am curious to learn how many people use it and how exactly.
I liked that Copilots can be used anywhere, so I think we should try to build copilots for our own website, our public documentation and our support.
Another promising thing was Azure AI models. They have a fast selection.
As for interesting meetings, We had excellent conversations with @MicrosoftAzure DevOps team again, @MicrosoftTeams ecosystem PMs and Microsoft Teams extensibility PMs.
Hope those connections will help us build crazy things in future together ;)
Also, I participated in a lab, where we built a Microsoft Teams Copilot extension. Looks pretty easy!
We in MoveWorkForward have security as a top priority! That's why it was quite interesting to learn more about GitHub Advanced Security.
This looks like a very cool, easy to use product. You enable a few things and it scans for password and secrets all your history.
We will enable it in our repos as well.
Collecting user feedback is always a challenge, so Feedback in Teams is another cool upcoming feature. Can't wait to try it on our app ;)
Obviously I could not put everything here, but the whole event and the upcoming features are amazing and I'm glad that MWF is in the first row.
