Full video showing how to make a Figure Of Four DeadFall Trap, ideal for Bushcraft, Prepping and Survival in a SHTF situation.
In the video I show a few helpful tips and a variation of the standard dead fall trap.
This essential survival skill is an old bushcraft favourite. The figure of four, dead fall trap can be set and left, which is ideal.
* No animals were trapped or hurt in the is video, and the trap was completely dismantled when I finished.
** Hunting animals using this sort of primitive trap is pretty much illegal everywhere in the world, and especially here in the UK and you must not do it.
*** I show this trap in order to increase survival knowledge and skills you will need in a SHTF situation only.
The figure 4 deadfall trap is a very old method of trapping animals for food, and can be scaled up or down to suit the type of animal you are hunting.
Setting a figure of four dead fall trap can be quite tricky, so in the video I show my method, and add a few helpful tips in this trap setup variation .
Hunting and trapping small game like rabbit or squirrel will put food on your table in a SHTF situation, just like our ancestors did before mass produce abattoirs and supermarket chains offering ready packed meat.
In a survival situation you have a choice. starve or hunt for your own food, simple as that, so knowing the bushcraft skills to procure your own food is absolutely essential for preppers.
This deadfall trap variation make setting the figure 4 trap really easy, making the chances of success higher, and a better chance of a meal.
It's a fact of life, and many meat eaters shy away from the fact that the meat they choose to eat was once a living animal, probably breed simply to be slaughtered and chopped up, wrapped in plastic and nicely presented to you between layers of parsley in a supermarket cold shelf.
These are people who will say they could never kill an animal...!
But are prepared to unwrap animal muscle meat and cook it up for their dinner....
Bushcraft, survival and prepping are about taking yourself out of that mindset and actually doing something about it.
