Anuradha Pal is a world-renowned, multifaceted Tabla virtuoso, multi-percussionist and Music composer who has been hailed as the first professional female Tabla player in the world by Encyclopedia Britannica, Who's Who journal of the World and the Limca Book of Records.
She has performed extensively at some of the most prestigious Music Festivals in the World, like Woodstock, WOMAD, Voices of the World, Night of the Virtuosos, Rhythm Sticks Festival and Masters of Indian Music Festival amongst numerous others in USA, UK, Europe, Japan, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Far East.

Superbly trained by Tabla legends Late Ustad Alla Rakha & Zakir Hussain, Anuradha Pal is the youngest and only female Indian Musician to have performed at the prestigious Woodstock Festival in 2008 where she performed with her acclaimed World Music band RECHARGE, for an audience of 4 lakh people. The exciting combination of Indian & Jazz music spiced with Latin, African & Indian percussion gets the crowds dancing & swaying everywhere they perform.

Anuradha Pal is also the first and the youngest woman Indian Musician to perform at the WOMAD Festival in 1999, where she presented her band STREE SHAKTI- Asia's much acclaimed all-female, percussion based Vocal- instrumental ensemble, for 1.5 lakh fans.
She has performed sensational Tabla Solos and astutely accompanied some of the best musicians of India like Pt. Jasraj, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Smt. Girija Devi, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Sultan Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt; younger musicians like Rahul Sharma, Niladri Kumar, Rakesh Chaurasia as well as, acclaimed Jazz, Latin & African musicians in major Indian & International festivals.

She composed the background score for M.F Husain's film Gaja Gamini which was highly appreciated at the Cannes Film festival for its originality & evocativeness. She has also composed music for short films, documentaries, theatre & other commissioned work & events.
She has received several prestigious and coveted awards like the Dagar Gharana award, Sanskrutic Puraskar, Adwatiya Stree Shakti award, Zee Astitva Award, Malwa Taal Shiromani award, Best Musician award, Tala Mani award, Excellence award to name just a few.
She has been hailed as a 'Youth Icon' and the Brand Ambassador for UNICEF and NGO Population First for female empowerment, education and achievement.

She has been lauded as a Youth Icon and 'Woman of Substance' at the Woodstock Festival and in corporate launches of Mercedes Benz, Siemens, Tanishq, CNBC TV 18, Crisil, Wizcraft and Fountainhead Events.
She has performed for dignitaries like the Honorary President and Prime Minister of India, and Queen Elizabeth of Britain, at major diplomatic events like the SAARC Summit and the CHOGM Summit. She has several albums to her credit like: Sensational, Nirvana, Stree Shakti, Get Recharged, Sheer Magic, Tabla solo & instructional Video training DVDs which are highly acclaimed.

She was invited as an artist in residence, at the New England Conservatory & Berkeley School of Music. She contributed actively in the research of the "Relationship between Brain, Music & Language" at Neurosciences University, San Diego & the 'Study of Tabla, Aesthetics & complexities' at the Harvard Science Center (USA).

Being the first lady in the male-dominated world of Tabla players, she has broken the myth about the Tabla being a No-Go zone for women, thereby shattering gender biases and empowering women to pursue more creative paths.
Her all-female group, 'Stree Shakti' has also been integral to providing performance opportunities & empowering other women musicians as well as earning praise from critics and aficionados alike.

Coming from a family with no prior musical background, she has inspired people all over the world to pursue careers in the Performing Arts, despite having no prior exposure or family background in their fields of choice.
It is for these reasons that the Asian-American/ Indo American Who's Who Journal lauded her for 'her well balanced musicianship and pioneering contribution as a trail blazer and trend setter for societies around the World'.
