Test for Clay in Soil

My soil is heavy, and when dry, the surface cracks like clay. But is it really a clay soil? This home soil test will show a soil’s texture: sand, silt and clay levels. Knowing more about your soil’s texture can help to determine the most suitable plants as well as strategies for watering, soil amendment and fertilizing.
