Scarborough Railway Station Reprofile & Falsgrave Signal Gantry Removal 2010 with the Kirow crane

Filmed from 7th October 2010 at Scarborough Railway Station and approach to Scarborough Railway Station and Malton Railway Station.

The listed semaphore signal gantry at Falsgrave, Scarborough was removed for prior to the introduction of colour light signals to the approach of Scarborough Railway Station. The gantry was then modified and moved to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Grosmont and erected into 2014.

The remainder of the video shows the re-profiling and rationalisation of Scarborough Railway station and approach in preparation for the introduction of the colour light signals. We also see a number of the Class 66 ballast and track trains working to and from Scarborough and at Malton along with the Kirow cranes for lifting and moving the track panels.
