Man this book is so ridiculous!
In the quest of "fitting in" bro dressed like a stripper while the love interest dresses like a college frat boy from the 90s. like seriously doesn't she have any other outfit or PB really wants to drive home the tomboyish "we were too lazy to write for a female love interest" plot.
Also i praised this book for not being too focused on the "damsel in distress" character arc for the main character but looks like i was wrong. They just can't improve can they?
Also i have started to hate the plot a bit to be very frank. The trope of MC "as long as you give me a quote" is unbearingly cringe. like just say anything else besides that. feels like in the quest for keeping his job MC would have to resort to publishing "hot" news to gain clicks which would disrupt the built trust between him and the love interest cause so far the plot seems to go in that direction.
Like he's less of a sports reporter and more of a paparazzi.
I think we need another competitor like storyscape to shake PB studios a bit by creating more impactful stories and not resorting to cheap payoffs with steamy books.
RC maybe an option but honestly the whole app in itself no offense to the team doesn't feel inviting at all. also the ui setup, haven't read much stories but that was my take on it.
Might get into playing the app more soon but yeah..
