As seen in devs on stage, Tableau is bringing powerful new capabilities to interactive analytics. The applications for interactive statistics are profound. For example, identifying time series that are most highly correlated with a selection, cluster analysis applied to interactive outlier detection, baselining a stock  s performance against the market in general, correlating market value of players to their team  s performance in the World Cup, and tracking the turnover of (or time to resell) a selected cohort of properties.
